The Southern Institute of Technology (SIT) is renown as the home of the Zero Fees Scheme (ZFS).

They offer over 180 qualifications from certificates through to master degrees covering subjects including:

• hairdressing
• beauty therapy
• health
• social services
• sport
• hospitality
• hotel management
• travel
• trades.

For programmes under the ZFS, only direct course material applicable to the programme of study are paid – the tuition fees are waived.

The ZFS is applicable to all New Zealand citizens, residents and permanent resident visa holders.
